The fact that it's a revelation for so many people attests to the job the government and the corporate media have done in keeping us distracted with other stuff. I also understand that Afghanistan has a vast untapped supply of natural gas (Did you say natural gas? Conquered, uneducated population? No environmental regulation? A bunch of energy company CEOs just came in their pants.)

OR is it possible I am trying to start a conversation about this or stimulate thought. Would it be better if I posted it in Science so we can have someone analyze the chemical, geological and environmental impact first. It may be that we have been distracted but the onus is ours. LMSP
