U.S. President Barack Obama is pictured during a heavy rain storm at a campaign rally in Glen Allen, Virginia, July 14, 2012. Obama travelled to Virginia on Saturday for campaign events. Rain drops on the front of the lens produced octagonal shapes in the image.

38. WOW! Rain is Obama's best friend!

His hair looks good, even when wet, and a wet shirt clinging to his chest and arms is not at all bad!

Not to mention he is respecting the crowd, if they stand there in the downpour, so will he. Nice metaphor for a president who is in touch, not like the out of touch Republicans.

2. I cannot imagine Romney standing out there in the pouring rain

And I damned sure can't imagine his crowd sticking around to listen to him. Enthusiasm gap!

while standing out in the rain themselves.

7. Rmoney would melt in the rain.

Seriously, this man is washed clean to the crowd and that's how this will be seen even by some of the repubs. Rmoney couldn't stand this test nor would he even be seen in the rain without an umbrella or cover.

9. I hope Mr. President left his...

...Blackberry inside, with one of his aides.
Those things don't work too well when they get soaked.
Also, I imagine he probably doesn't have to worry about the wallet in his back pocket, and his license and cash getting waterlogged.

However, Mr. President seems like the kind of guy who wouldn't let that stuff stop him!

10. You cannot buy this publicity for all the money in the world

It has to just happen.

What it shows is the difference between the candidates. The crowd eggs on President Obama -- they are so proud of him and want him to stay, in spite of the weather.

He stays, soaked to the bone, and still greets the people after his speech. Because President Obama is one of them. They shared a time of mutual love.

That's something W. Mitt Rmoney will never share and never understand.

I love our President. He truly is one of us.

11. Check out this 2008 video of Obama in the Virginia Rain: ''There's Nothing We Can't Do''

Year: 2008

p.s. I think that Will.i.am should take that speech and make it into a music video like he did with the 'Yes We Can' song

Fantastic,gripping video!
Any of us who worked phone banks, checked lists, traveled to swing states and knocked on strangers' doors for his campaign can't help but get a lump in our throats!

14. Ooh! Lucky girl in the last pic! How come no one kisses Romney? LOL!

Honestly, someone should drag Nugent, Hank Jr., and the rest of the conservative pandering pundits to see this crowd. But then, none of them have the courage to face the real American people, just the brainwashed zombies.

Good photo spread, Kadie, as always. I was hoping to see these earlier today. A man at ease with himself and the world. May he win another 4 years to bring this nation out of the conservative nightmare.

22. i was thinking of the very same thing.

I love the diversity of old, middle aged and young and very young , and all ethnics. You don't see that with Rommey...and you never see Rommey get so close and genuinely hug the people....and the crowds are always bigger too.

I sure do hope he wins in November, for the world's sake.

In Texas, those pics look great. It rained last week when I was home. I put a chair in the driveway and just let it rain on me. Of course, once it stopped it was unbearable.
