And James' comment that it wasn't that President Obama didn't do enough but that WE didn't do enough, SPOT ON!
PEACE!

(45,788 posts)It was great. I had seen the movie a couple of times over the past decade or two. James Earl Jones does his best Theodore Roosevelt-imitation as the fictional President.
Seems I read somewhere that James Earl Jones is a Republican.

(22,756 posts)my husband always adored Angela Lansbury... before he died, he was very ill for a few years... for his last birthday I wrote to Angela Lansbury and she sent him a note and signed picture... very sweet!

(10,857 posts)I was gonna toss one up like, "because he's the only black man who didn't kill someone within five minutes of meeting her?" But then I realized that I never actually watched that show, and while the black guy always did it in every other crime show from 1964-1993, I can't say that with certainty about Angela's show.
So I'm sending that joke off to work in the spice mines of Kessel.

(53,235 posts)It was funny to me when she came out with the sweet murder-solving character.
But of course she's voting for Obama! Nearly everyone is--until the super-secret propriety software voting machines flip the votes.

(5,062 posts)James,as I understand it was an 'old school Republican'. Nothing like the GOP today. I seem to remember Jones saying he voted for Obama in 2008 and he does a lot of charity work, including BID 2 BEAT AIDS,something I can't think most modern day Republicans who stand for. I think James is a Republican the same way Clint Eastwood is a Republican.
