1) They benefit from the status quo.
2) They haven't been burned (yet) by the status quo.
3) They want a female prez sooo badly.
4) They do not understand the real problems facing this country (thank you, MSM!)
5) Some combination of the above.

And the Democratic party used to be progressive. We were the party who believed in change not the "status quo".

I will not support a democratic candidate who is NOT progressive, who believes in war, who takes advice fro Kissinger or who has to evolve to believe two people in love can marry. And the party will not bring me " to heel!"

Attacking Democratic candidates for NOT supporting the war in Iraq is what REALLY put me over the edge.

The DLC gave strong support for the 2003 invasion of Iraq. Prior to the war, Will Marshall co-signed a letter to President Bush from the Project for the New American Century endorsing military action against Saddam Hussein. During the 2004 Primary campaign the DLC attacked Presidential candidate Howard Dean as an out-of-touch liberal because of Dean's anti-war stance. The DLC dismissed other critics of the Iraq invasion such as filmmaker Michael Moore as members of the "loony left".[14] Even as domestic support for the Iraq War plummeted in 2004 and 2005, Marshall called upon Democrats to balance their criticism of Bush's handling of the Iraq War with praise for the president's achievements and cautioned "Democrats need to be choosier about the political company they keep, distancing themselves from the pacifist and anti-American fringe.

Dig deeper than the mass media koolaid you are drinking...... so sad to see this in action.... blinding of the masses.....guess Hillary's smoke and mirrors work quite well on people who don't think past the veiled lies she spues......

read up on your great candidate.....if you are on the Clinton Foundation List - you may be right to vote for her!!!

You can't hide behind the simple facts, that she has been horse trading with Big Money for decades.

She is qualified, smart and creepishly evil in how efficiently she panders to anyone at any time.
Ever notice how she started saying very similar "Bernie" positions, when he started to make a surge?

Anytime any person goes against what the general public has taken as the truth, they are immediately labeled as a conspiracy artist.
Of course we can always believe what we want to, since perception is in the eye of the beholder.
However, when accusations and possibly indictments come up on anyone, it should make most people take a second look at their first perception.

People's judgements only show their true character.
True self awareness comes from analyzing your own perceptions and hopefully either validating them or questioning them to change.

Be open to the facts and defend with facts.
Hillary is in with Big Money period.
Bernie is not period.

The establishment (aka 1%) would prefer Hillary over Bernie any day.
They know her and can work with her.

We might be able to get a few democratic issues to the front with Hillary, but we will also get the same ol defense spending and war mongering we have all come to detest.

I only hope you can look back at this time and reflect on your position, when the sh*t hits the fan in the next few years.

Peace!

My parents were democrats. The first democrat I voted for was Hubert Humphrey. My father was a member of the ILWU. I remember going hungry when the longshoremen went on strike for decent wages and working conditions in 1960. I have never cast a vote for anyone but a democrat. I have never given political donations to or pounded the pavement for any other party, and as God is my witness, I will never vote for Hillary Clinton. I voted for her husband. I should have learned my lesson then. If there is an afterlife that requires me to give an account of my life, having voted for this cynical, opportunistic, neoconservative, corporatist warhawk will not be part of that confession.
