APRIL 15, 2016

VATICAN CITY – Sen. Bernie Sanders on Friday attended a conference on social, economic and environmental issues hosted by the Pontifical Academy of Social Sciences.

The high-level meeting marked the 25th anniversary of an important encyclical of Pope John Paul II, Centesimus Annus, which called for an economy of dignity, social justice and environmental sustainability.

There is a great fear of these ideas being heard and the public considering these basic ideas like what is the purpose of our economy really.

people and the people of the world. We are living in an immoral economy that gives too much power and wealth to a very few and too little democracy and economic power to the very, very many.

Time is running out for the human race and for our planet. Pope Francis is leading the way toward a new era in which social responsibility and caring for each other and our earth will be the norm. It is time to begin to protect our earth, stop climate change, learn about and care about each other and join together regardless of our faiths and personal interests to make our countries and our world a better place to live.

That's my version of Bernie's message to all of us.

If you agree, please say so. If you don't, please don't ridicule that message. Bernie is more about the message than the messenger. Please understand that.

And you NEVER hear them rationalizing her defensive stance of the status quo. All they can talk about is the fantasy of "free stuff". Her record is anything but stellar. It probably galls the hell out of her to have to dis the TPP. No doubt she'll LOVE it - with just a few tweaks to make it good.
