TYT- The Top 1%: Leave Us Alone!

Uploaded by TheYoungTurks on Dec 22, 2011
Bankers have joined billionaires to fight back against attacks against the top one percent of income earners in America, including by forming something called 'The Job Creators Alliance'. The Young Turks host Cenk Uygur breaks it down.

You'd think they'd realize that calling people imbeciles is not the best way to win them over.

You'd think they'd realize that it might be a bad idea to let us know how to make them vomit.

You'd think they'd realize that calling themselves "The Job Creators Alliance" is an insult to our intelligence and only highlights their cluelessness.

You'd think they'd realize that responding in any way simply tells us that we've got their attention and that responding in this way tells us that they're afraid.

And now they MUST be punished. Only politicians who promise to prosecute these criminals can be elected. We must demand accountability and punishment. No one gets off by being arrogant, rich, or white. No one. Then we as a people can be proud and get the justice we so greatly deserve.

include a emoticon to make it quite clear you are using a historical metaphor and not advocating violence as the most literal viewer might think?

I think most appreciate the sentiment, but advocating violence is a serious violation and not one you'd want to be confused.

if a simple little sarcasm inclusion had been added. Seems a reasonable request, don't you think, trumad? Another jury might have voted differently.

Better to avoid misunderstandings, I think... After all, it really isn't such a big deal to embed a thingy way down the post.

This may be the answer to the question of whether there was apathy or ignorance in the statement "Let them eat cake".

from the debit to the real problem; wealth inequality and the huge disparity (of everything, laws included) between the haves and have not's.
Now that the majority is aware of the real problem (they already knew but allowed the media and politicians to spin the truth) it is soon time to fix it.
This MUST BE our AMERICAN SPRING. We need millions of regular people in the streets if we have any chance to change the status quo.
No more bending over. We will be attacked hard by the mercenaries employed by the wealthy (incuding the police) just like the ARAB SPRING was. Eventually the sane ones will join us to tear down and rebuild "our" government into something that resembles the rest of the first world nations.
We can and must make America a country "for and by the people."
This is our time and if we refuse to act or allow ourselves to be placated by the 1% crumbs, we may never get another opportunity. President Obama had his chance when he was elected for change. He didn't follow through. We must if we want a future for our children.
They know what is coming. That is why they created the NDAA and have been building detention camps for decades. We must be non-violent even though violence will be used against us. There is no way we can beat the most well equipped military in history that we paid for.
I do not believe in "prophesies" but this has been prophesized. When I heard about 2012 being th apocalypse" (years ago), I thougt "more B.S."
Apocalypse does not mean the end of the world. It means a new beginning and an end to the darkness that we have endured for decades (at least).
GO OWS! GO AMERICAN SPRING! It is time to usher in a new era. One that puts people before profits.
Merry christmas. May God bless us all.

Now is the time for all men of good will to come to the aid of their country. I forget the exact wording and the author and the time period, but it's time we all figured out what to do about our government that has become too tyrannical and is working against our best interests as people.

OWS impresses me as the BEST HOPE us Americans have to RECLAIM OUR DEMOCRACY. It is our RIGHT to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. Those that erode or take this away are simply traitors to the best of our human nature.

One of the many wise well conceived angles to OWS is that it is leaderless and spokesman-less, and functions about as democratically as possible for a group of human beings of that sized group.

One thing I remember in my quest for business management wisdom (most of which was humanistic and thus obsolete. the current management vogue is might makes right) is that the probability of a valid and wise decision is best achieved as the product of a large group of people.

OWS is beautiful and deserves as much support as average Americans can give. (All I've done so far is buy 2 yard signs, one bumper sticker, and one local moveon meet up that fizzled into nothing.)

-90% Jimmy
