I think of this all the time when I see wildlife near the highway! We have so many in my neck of the woods, including deer, not at all unusual to see them on my way home. Thanks so much for posting!

Can anyone imagine either the state or federal government spending money for something like this? It's like pulling teeth to even get them to fix roads that are in horrible shape. There is no way they'd spend money on an overpass for animals, sadly. At least I'm not aware of any animal overpasses in this country...

There are roads here in Maine that are downright dangerous for animals and humans alike. Hitting a deer is bad enough, but moose cause far more fatalities. Especially at night time, because they are so dark colored. One doesn't see them until it's usually too late. Plus, unlike deer, they are kind of dumb. They will just stand there in the middle of the road for no apparent reason.

Anyway, thanks for the video. I love that they have installed a critter cam.

at least you didn't read the following link from the original post:

http://www.seattletimes.com/seattle-news/environment/animals-getting-overpass-on-i-90/

The state will break ground Tuesday on Washington’s first wildlife overpass to provide safe passage for bear, elk, foxes and other animals over Interstate 90 east of Snoqualmie Pass.

I'm glad to have been wrong about this, tho. According to wikipedia, there are wildlife overpasses in Montana, Florida and California too. It's good to see that something is being done for wildlife (and human) safety.

Thanks again for the video!
