but I couldn't name any of them if my life depended on it.

I was never in to the rock begats or stardom in popular music. People had to be total standouts like BB King, Santana or Clapton to get my specific notice.

The Rza, the Gza, Ol Dirty Bastard (R.I.P.), Inspecktah Deck, Raekwon the Chef, U-God, Ghostface Killah, Method Man, and Masta Killa. Some consider Cappadonna, Shyheim the Rugged Child, Shabazz the 4th Disciple, and Blue Raspberry members as well.
Oh and if this piece of shit Marky Mark Rubio actually listened to the messages in Wu-Tang's music, he wouldn't have the terrible policy ideas he preaches.
Reminds me of dumb ass Paul Lyin Ryan saying he likes Rage Against the Machine. Get the fuck out of here. These guys are trying to be "cool" but they are lying arrogant assholes who obliviously don't listen to the words in the songs IF they even listen to the music at all.

There are a lot of songs I like for years or even decades before I really listen to the lyrics. I like most songs based on the beat, the melody, not really paying attention to the words. I didn't realize how risque many of the songs I liked were until about 20 years after I started listening to them.

Good shit. My pops loved Wu-Tang. He could rhyme the 36 chambers album start to finish. He was born in 1952, so he was in his 40's when that album came out. It was good times listening to music with him. It would be Hendrix, Wu-Tang, Ministry, Coltrane, Mozart, James Brown, Nas, Isley Brothers, Sepultura, Herbie Hancock, Robert Johnson, N.W.A., Robin Trower, Johnny Winter, Chopin, Muddy Waters, KRS-ONE, Tool, Ohio Players, Miles Davis, Public Enemy, Albert King, Otis Redding. Music transcends all ages, races, languages, religions and sexuality. Nobody is ever too old to like anything.

I know most of his parts by heart. Amazing flow. Vulnerable, nuanced, ear-worms.

I saw them in SF last year. Sooooo good. Method Man did all of ODB's parts while sitting in an office chair on stage -- he had a broken leg. They rocked the house.

I do not see that as that big of a deal. I think it would have been a bigger deal if he could not name one of their songs, or his favorite song. I would not expect him to have a favorite member.

Cause you could always just claim he was your 'fave' even if his was the only name you knew. I knew Method Man and ODB, simply from skits on the Chapelle show, even though I don't think I've knowingly ever listened to their music.

His parking tickets, can't name members of his favorite band - meaningless. It makes the Democratic Party seem petty and desperate, and turns off potential voters.

There are many, many LEGITIMATE ways to go after Rubio. Crap like this just detracts from the message, and makes people tune out of the real issues.
