NC National Guard Deploying in Support of Kosovo Force, (NATO), for Peacekeeping/April 30, 2015!

RALEIGH, N.C. - The North Carolina Army National Guard's Headquarters Company, 30th Armored Brigade Combat Team, Headquarters Company, 1st Combined Arms Battalion, 252nd Armored Regiment and Alpha Company, 1st Combined Arms Battalion, 252nd Armored Regiment are deploying in support of the Kosovo Force (KFOR), a North Atlantic Treaty Organization that leads an international peacekeeping force in Kosovo. These units will host a Mobilization Ceremony Thursday, April 30, 2015, at 3 p.m., at the Providence Baptist Church, 6339 Glenwood Avenue, Raleigh, NC 27612.

While deployed to Kosovo, these Soldiers will contribute to a secure environment, ensuring public safety and order by coordinating the international humanitarian effort.
They will also contribute to the development of a stable, democratic, multi-ethnic and peaceful Kosovo, by supporting the development of the Kosovo Security Force.
