Are foods endangered?

In the wake of the recent Heinz - Kraft merger, this 28 minute video looks at the opposite paradigm to preserve food diversity and flavor and in so doing trying to save local foods in danger of going extinct. This BBC video segment argues that traditions of cultural foods are in danger of going extinct in the interest of homogenization and food production undergoing monopolization by corporations. It explains the purpose of preserving local crops and local methods of preparation.
