"At the hospital. Dad is ok. Battered, but ok! He is every bit the man you would think he is. He is an incredibly strong man," tweeted Ben Ford.

Los Angeles Fire Department Assistant Chief Patrick Butler, who wouldn't identify Ford as the patient, said the pilot suffered moderate trauma and was "alert and conscious" when he was taken to the hospital.

He said the pilot, the only person on board, was in fair to moderate condition.

...with that said, his plane looks better than Bob Falfa's Deuce Coupe after the wreck in American Graffiti.

(Comment submitted because it might be the only HF movie ref NOT used tonight ).

Ryan PT-22 It's a WWII vintage primary trainer fitted with a Kinner 5 cylinder radial engine. Harrison would've been in the rear cockpit if flying solo.

The last time I heard that statement, was when George W. Bush "won" the election with the help of the Supreme court .. " SO JUST GET OVER IT..." some of us never GOT OVER it. Some of us will never just get over it...just sayin

has been called on several times to aid in searching for lost people. I recall that a young woman who was lost was picked up by Ford in his helicopter and only after she was dropped off by an ambulance that she was told who her rescuer was. Seems like he's a good guy. But, he needs to start taking care of himself. He got injured - a broken ankle ?- I believe, in the last movie he made.
