Now they speak up....horrible kabuki theater by all these actors, they damn sure ain't leaders. And the bluedogs? I'd get a spanking here by ADMIN if I said what was really on my mind......
Like her or not when Nancy headed the House things got done there.

(13,865 posts)They can't win using traditional legislative methods so they resort to making the government dysfunctional. Their goal is to bring about a crisis that will call for a "Constitutional re-do" of our government. The result of such a 're-do' would include the elimination of regulatory agencies like the EPA, and of social programs like Medicare and Social Security. I think the way the Republican Governor of Michigan dealt with the state's financial problems provides an example of their strategy. He appointed a 'czar' who had the power to make decisions that overrode those of elected officials. It had to be done because of the "crisis". The sequestration committee which was appointed also serves as another example of a method for dealing with an intractable "crisis".
