TRNN: Why Are the US and EU Split Over Lethally Arming Ukraine?

This interview with Columbia University History Professor Tarik Amar. Notwithstanding divisions within the EU/NATO itself Amar explains the significance of escalation to the EU - of course one of which is location/proximity (refugees, spillover from the conflict). Furthermore, the EU is one of the biggest trading partners with Russia (energy). Russia is the third largest trading partner with the EU.
