Way to go John! When all else fails, look to pure and simple logic for the answer to the most pressing questions of the day!
As an aside... on the soundtrack album for Monty Python and the Holy Grail, there is a sketch where John plays (with a silly voice) a 'professional logician'. His explanation for Fox sounds like it could have come from that same character.
