1. Not quite the problem in the US that it is in France because we are less picky

about how our fruits and vegetables look in the first place, and we eat a lot of frozen fruits and vegetables.

3. The sweetest, juiciest orange I've ever had is a type called an "Ugly." And it is...

really uuggly. Delicious, but ugly.

And the big old misshapen tomatoes that show up occasionally in the produce section in the middle of summer are the best. Beauty is only skin deep, but but delicious is all the way through.
