it's science and that's bad, isn't it? The man gives electricity, clean water pumped from a well, night lighting,introduces solar energy and begins to lift his entire village out of the dust. I can tell you why he succeeded - there were no Republicans to tell him that that science stuff was evil and could not possibly benefit them.

I didn't know this young man's story until seeing this thread. After reading several negative and horrific stories in the past couple of days, I really needed a dose of something positive, and this story really fits the bill.

Young William embodies what's best in us all. That wonderful picture of him with his many happy kinfolks (at the 0:45 mark in the video) shows you he has the greatest asset of all: a loving family. In that regard he's lucky, but it was his curiosity, ingenuity, and drive that made these achievements possible.
