Presidential debate: Romney endorses Obama

Monday's presidential debate, the third and last between President Obama and Gov. Mitt Romney, featured a forceful and articulate defense of Obama's foreign policy. That was no surprise. What was surprising was that it came from Romney.

That seemed to annoy the president — who was prepared to rebut his opponent's previous, more bellicose pronouncements. But the ever-shifting Republican nominee tacked even closer to the moderate middle than he did in the debate devoted to economic policy.

Once Romney intimated that he might keep U.S. troops in Afghanistan past NATO's 2014 deadline. No more. Now he agrees with Obama that it is feasible to transfer combat responsibilities to the Afghans by that point. On Iran, Romney emphasized economic sanctions rather than the threat of a military attack, effectively endorsing Obama's approach. On Syria, Romney disappointed some of his neoconservative supporters by forswearing direct U.S. military intervention or the establishment of a no-fly zone. There was no call for returning U.S. forces to Iraq, though Romney continued to accuse Obama of bungling negotiations aimed at keeping a small residual force there.

Although he personally makes me sick to watch, Romney is a great salesman because he understands the tailoring of message to accomplish the immediate puirpose. He became a defender of conservative policy in and religous values to get nominated. He became a wiling servant of the rich to get more fat cat money, he becamke a defender of the middle class to fool voters in the first debate, he became a defender of families in the second debate. he became a non scary proponent of peace around the world in the third debate, and now he can spend the next two weeks tailoring his message to each audience he meets.
He gets away with this not because the President does not call him on it but because of the willful ignorance of large segments of the American electorate who use rationalization to justify one or mote of the following-g leader Obama is less competent (he is a lazy black man), two Obama is not a strong leader ( his peace inititiatives are just unnecessary and we do not ned to listen to others around the world) He has not done enough (kissing the ass of the ultra rich power brokers), he will raise taxes on the middle class (yep taxes are way too high on the rich and every benefit we get from the federal government must come out of middle class pockets).
Mitt is a good salesman.
We all are Obama surrogates so we must work harder, talk to more people on the phones, to more people when we knock on more doors, volunteer more, recruit more others to do the same, work harder and smarter, donate more , ensure everyone who supports Obama votes, spread Obama ads and u tube videos to our friends and the young, lets make sure our voters over 45 and our seniors understand Ryan's plan for them regarding
and social security and medicare.
Lets get to work and stop this liar.
