House Intelligence Committee won't investigate conversations between Michael Flynn & Trump

Los Angeles Times

"Progressive Group Calls For Rep. Devin Nunez To Resign Post Over Comments About Trump's National Security Advisor"

A California progressive group says it will demand Rep. Devin Nunez (R-CA) step down as chairman of the House Select Intelligence Committee during a protest at his Clovis, CA office Wednesday.

The Los Angeles-based Courage Campaign in a news release criticized comments Nunez made Tuesday the the committee won't investigate comments made between former national security advisor Michael Flynn and President Trump.

Flynn resigned late Monday after news outlets reported that he had misled administration officials about content of the conversations he had with the Russian ambassador to the U.S. before Trump took office.

Before Flynn resigned, Nunez said: "It just seems like there's a lot of nothing there."
Afterward, Nunez said he wanted to know why the FBI was recording a then-private citizen's phone calls.

Nunez and the ranking Democrat on the committee, Rep. Adam Schiff (D-CA), announced last month that the committee would investigate Russian attempts to influence the 2016 elections, and communications between the Trump campaign and Russia.

Donald trump is running the most conflict-filled, scandal-tarred administrations we've ever seen.
So what are the chairs of the key Congressional oversight committees doing about it?
Absolutely nothing!
Last week, Courage Campaign members made TV and newspaper headlines all over California by protesting in front of the local office of House Intelligence Committee Chairman Devin Nunez in Clovis - and we're going to keep the pressure on until Congressional Republicans do their job.
None of the key Congressional Republicans are standing up to Trump the way they should, but California's Devin Nunez may be the worst of the worst.
Last Monday, Trump's National Security Advisor, Michael Flynn, resigned under reports that he colluded with the Russian government to undermine U.S. foreign policy, lied to the Vice President, and may have even lied to the FBI.
Nunez attacked the FBI for even investigating Flynn's actions in the first place.
Rep. Nunez is either shockingly clueless or actively participating in a cover-up.
Either way, he should resign immediately.
