(14,255 posts)Also, it was gleefully pointed out yesterday that Dean is a Centrist, so his endorsement is not exactly some sort of astounding news, capable of changing minds.
Heh - "mature seasoned leader" - a shot at Obama? And Bernie would certainly be a mature, seasoned leader.

(101,316 posts)One of the most important reasons I am supporting her is because Secretary Clinton understands the institutional requirements of the Supreme Court. More than 73 percent of Americans think the Supreme Court is no longer a fair arbitrator and is influenced by political considerations. I am one of those 73 percent. This Court has repeatedly made decisions that have harmed our country for the sake of extending a political and ideological agenda that is far outside the mainstream of American traditionson issues like campaign finance, voting rights, the rights of women, and religious freedom.

America needs a President who will focus on the next hundred years, not one who hopes to turn the clock back by a hundred years. I am sure I will have disagreements with her as she focuses on getting Americans back to work and rebuilding an America that works for all of us. I value and respect her enough that whatever differences may exist will be minimal compared to the tasks we really need to do for the good of restoring our country. We need a mature, seasoned, thoughtful leader at a time when maturity and thoughtfulness are increasingly rare commodities in Washington, D.C.
If I have the opportunity, I will cast my vote for Hillary Clinton for President.

(3,433 posts)I don't think he would come out and support her now, unless he believed that she would support the policies that would really make a difference on income inequality.

"not one who hopes to turn the clock back by a hundred years"
I'm quite certain this is his cloaked referral to Elizabeth Warren as it's a hit against Populism which by the way was more like 130+ years ago
Many of the positions promoted in the Populism movements showed up later in the New Deal and we know what benefits that bestowed on us all
Any party that would support a Hillary Clinton is a party I'll have nothing to do with

(18,124 posts)what are you going to proclaim as a proper Party reflecting Democratic Party principles? Just a question. It's either the Fascist/racist party's of the republicans, libertarians or tea partiers. No other choice unless you start a more relevant one for the 'lefties' here.........

(18,124 posts)in making her more palatable or relevant to the "lefties" who are the true progressives and liberals in this Party and country? And yeah, IF she's the candidate, she will receive my vote in hope, good luck, that she will be able to truly represent the Democratic Party and and true liberal and progressive principles we allegedly stand and fight for......

(1,370 posts)What dose that even mean anymore? She's "qualified" to take millions of dollars from Wall Street and global corporations and represent their interests? All this shows is there are not very many people who can function in a corrupt system and remain unaffected.

(449 posts)No surprises here. I think the progressive wing still serves an important purpose in the minds of the Democratic Party establishment, and that is that y'all will effectively make it look like Hillary had an actual primary fight, which will strengthen her for the general. But the reality is that no Democrat really has a chance against Hillary, and they know that. Look at polls folks. Talk to people. Most Democrats I know are unaware of who Bernie Sanders is, and Warren... she's in the Senate, right?

(10,597 posts)... about a month ago. That's something, isn't it? She's getting endorsements and hasn't even declared. As far as Dean goes, I wasn't shocked or surprised to hear him say it to Chuck Todd and I'm not surprised now.

(18,791 posts)I do NOT believe she can win.
She's a "Clinton" and unfortunately she's a woman...I don't think the "majority" that vote will elect her, especially with all the vote rigging that the Pukes and their ilk, have accomplished.
When she declares, let the BENGHAZI begin.

(94,557 posts)I think the people opposed to Hillary were already in the Republican camp no matter who the Democratic nominee is. Hillary WILL however have the opportunity to pick off moderate Republican and Independent women who won't respond to the GOP overreach.

(22,651 posts)Rs already try to 'narrow their field' because their moneymen don't want to spend trillions on a stage full of republicans 'running for president'. Notice no republican 'major money' supports any of their woman this season.
