Report: P&G pulls NFL Breast Cancer Awareness campaign
Source: Sports Illustrated
Procter & Gamble/Crest Toothpaste has pulled a planned widespread campaign for Breast Cancer Awareness involving all 32 NFL teams, reports Jason La Canfora of CBSSports.
La Canfora reports that the campaign was pulled "due to recent off field events."
The campaign was going to have players on all 32 clubs wear pink mouth guards during October, which is Breast Cancer Awareness month, and engage in social media.
The NFL has faced heavy scrutiny over multiple recent domestic violence cases involving Ray Rice, Greg Hardy, Ray McDonald and Jonathan Dwyer and the league's handling of them, as well a child injury case involving Vikings running back Adrian Peterson.
