Sarah Palin and Family Allegedly Involved in Giant Drunken Brawl at Snowmobile Party

This weekend, Sarah Palin and many members of her family were reportedly involved in a big ol, 20-person drunken brawl at a Wasilla snowmobile party, which, if youre playing Palin bingo, means youve won.
Anchorage police confirmed that an incident had indeed occurred, and that the Palins were definitely there, and it was real nasty. None of the involved parties wanted to press charges at the time of the incident and no arrests were made, they added, but did not disclose names. Alcohol was believed to have been a factor in the incident.
But thats not enough detail! We need detail! We need elaboration! We need exactly why Sarah and Todd and Track and Willow and Bristol and etc. were there, and whether they said any nasty words, and if six-year-old Trig Palin choked a snitch!
Thankfully, the local Alaskan gossip bloggers are on the case, and their sources all seem to tell the same story. As The Immoral Minority tells it, the Palins had attended an Iron Dog snowmobile party, and drank a bit of alcohol. I dont know for sure who started it, but I do know that the Palins done ended it, they wrote:

What a bunch of lowlife thugs! When will the Redneck Community do something to address the problem of white-on-white violence?
and more from the Washington Post:
Heres the salacious scoop from Alaska political blogger Amanda Coyne:A nice, mellow party, until the Palins show up. Theres beer, of course, and maybe other things. Which is all fine, but just about the time when some people might have had one too many, a Track Palin stumbles out of a stretch Hummer, and immediately spots an ex-boyfriend of Willows. Track isnt happy with this guy, the story goes. Theres words, and more. The owner of the house gets involved, and he probably wished he hadnt. At this point, hes up against nearly the whole Palin tribe: Palin women screaming. Palin men thumping their chests. Word is that Bristol has a particularly strong right hook, which she employed repeatedly, and its something to hear when Sarah screams, Dont you know who I am! And it was particularly wonderful when someone in the crowd screamed back, This isnt some damned Hillbilly reality show! No, its what happens when the former First Family of Alaska comes knocking. As people were leaving in a cab, Track was seen on the street, shirtless, flipping people off, with Sarah right behind him, and Todd somewhere in the foreground, tending to his bloody nose.

Huffington Post:
Anchorage Police Department communications director Jennifer Castro confirmed to The Huffington Post that police responded to a "verbal and physical altercation" outside a residence just before midnight on Saturday, and that "some of the Palin family members were in attendance at the party." Police believe that alcohol was a "factor" in the incident.
"The case is still an open and active investigation and is being reviewed by APD and our Municipal Prosecutors office, therefore, we are unable to release any police reports or further information at this time," Castro wrote in an email.

In September...?
Maybe this Western, NYer is out of the loop...is there measurable snow in Alaska right now to snowmobile?
Or is that what the uber rich call a stack of 8-balls...?

(46,436 posts)which is a snow machine race from Big Lake outside of Anchorage to Nome and back to Fairbanks. It's not winter here yet, but it will be. Todd has won this race four times, so it would make sense that the Palins would be there. Also makes sense that alcohol would be involved.

We have a lovely warm blue sky end of summer on Vancouver Island, the tomatoes are still ripening. No Palins either!

(37,457 posts)Police are investigating a brawl that took place in South Anchorage over the weekend involving around 20 people. A witness said it happened during a joint birthday party thrown in part for Todd Palin.
The Anchorage Police Department said a verbal and physical altercation took place late Saturday night between multiple people outside a South Anchorage home in the 900 block of Harbor Circle, in the Oceanview neighborhood.
Roughly 20 people were involved in the fight, said police spokesperson Jennifer Castro.
A preliminary investigation by police revealed that a party had been taking place at a nearby residence and a fight had broken out between multiple subjects outside of the residence, Castro wrote. None of the involved parties wanted to press charges at the time of the incident and no arrests were made at the scene. Alcohol was believed to have been a factor in the incident.media Some of the Palin family members were in attendance at the party.

(4,940 posts)Wasilla is basically an extension of Anchorage; anyone who lives here will be happy to tell you that Anchorage is somewhere south of Los Angeles.
My big brother lives near Wasilla. They are NOT rednecks. What they are is folks who just love your attention and TV/air time, and speculation.
Keep giving it to 'em and perpetuate their homegrown (NOT Alaskan) fantasies.
