Obama condolences over Afghanistan massacre in Kandahar

Source: BB

US President Barack Obama has phoned his Afghan counterpart Hamid Karzai to express condolences over the massacre of 16 villagers in Kandahar.

Nine children were killed along with adults in their homes when a US soldier based locally allegedly went on a gun rampage during the night.

Mr Obama vowed to hold accountable anyone responsible for the "tragic and shocking" incident.

President Karzai has condemned the attack and demanded an explanation.

I think I read he turned himself in, what I do not know is if or how much military prosecutors take the mental state of the perpetrator into account

He took a weapon, ammunition and night vision equipment, walked 500 meters to each of two villages, and killed people in both.

This clearly shows forethought and intent.

This event totally morally discredits the presence of any Western troops.
We have to leave. That's what an honorable country WOULD do.

Apocalypse Now gets it right:

Capt. Willard: It's a way we had over here for living with ourselves. We cut 'em in half with a machine gun and give 'em a Band-Aid. It was a lie. And the more I saw them, the more I hated lies.

1. Ft. Hood wasn’t shocking though...because he was yelling allah akbar.

2. Touchy feely war is only hard on us.

3...."There is an additional provision however. Not too long ago, congress passed a horrible law that made military personnel subject to civilian prosecution for acts they may have carried out overseas, after they have left the military. So if he is not prosecuted by the military, he may face an ambitious, anti-military prosecutor"...

4. Obummer = the enemy, and he’s in The White Crib, not just at or inside the gates, anymore. He came from nowhere with 52%, which tells me that there are a LOT of enemies inside the gates.

5. Are there any reliable sources for that background facts of this incident? The usual disgusting apologies from the chimpanzee are not constructive. Considering the number of Americans who have been murdered by cowardly Tali scum masquerading as ‘friends’, sixteen wasted is barely good for starters. It goes without saying that by publicly announcing his intention to cut and run from Afghanistan, the chimpanzee has emboldened his co-religionist friends [Tali vermin] and thereby placed our Marines and soldiers yet remaining in country in a completely untenable and extremely dangerous position. But this is completely consistent with his consuming hatred for us, our country and our courageous warriors.

6. NA na na, this is not tragic nor shocking for OBama. THere is no act of tyranny he has not liked.

This was all in the same thread. I shortened one post number 3 in the list. I can't believe these people are they even thinking about what they are saying. Civilian women and children have been murdered and instead of saying maybe we should leave or something they want to double down and have even more troops respond in this way, unfreakin believable. And some of them really do think it would be tragic if the military gives him light punishment and a civilian court prosecutes him to the full extent of the law. Seriously they said that.

we are just asking for another attack to keep the cycle going.

We sure aren't pursuing peace, are we?

Americans seem to revel in violence and bloodshed from a young age.

Why is MMA so popular? Why do we need to be armed to the teeth?

We plan for trouble and then do our best to make it happen.
