4. So sad...I just listened to her singing Valerie in some dinky room

She was sitting down with just a guitar playing and an old fashioned microphone in front of her. Unbelievable, raw, natural voice. It's worth a listen:

12. Old-fashioned? Who you calling old-fashioned?

That was the mic I used when I was in commercial radio, back before dinosaurs ruled the earth, er, um, in the 90's.

It's an industry standard Electro Voice RE-20 Broadcast Announcer Microphone with Variable-D (whatever that is.)

10. If it hadn't been alchohol, it would have been something else

Alcohol takes its toll, but something else takes you from the right to the left in these pics.

14. She looks pretty hot in that pic on the right.

Her lackees or parents probably told her she was too fat. Or she thought she was to fat. I think she looks good though.

15. No, her parents and friends did everything to save her

Some people are such addicts, they really cannot be helped. So very sad.

11. Look how GOOD she looked before the drugs and drink:

Before the drugs, Amy Winehouse was statuesque. Fucking 27 years old. What a waste.

13. That takes a lot of work. I have a big bottle of gin that I bought before Thanksgiving.

It's still about 1/4 full in spite of holiday celebrations.

I know people who in the past have consumed an entire 1.75 liter bottle of liquor in a day. It's frightening.

19. Dude, I have a bottle of gin I bought at Costco in 1991

that has had only an ounce or two taken out. I don't drink it and neither do my guests.

21. It's sad to see another famous celebrity meet such a tragic demise

I hope she's in a better place. Rest in peace Winehouse.
