I found this article quite interesting... guess the Repubs are NOT happy about the President getting re-elected.. but damn this is extreme!!! They are bat-shit nuts!! (at least a decent portion are...!)

12. Here's 4 paragraphs so you don't have to give gallup traffic if you don't want to.

WASHINGTON, DC -- Republicans' ratings of their lives worsened significantly in November, with their collective Life Evaluation Index score dropping to 40.3, from 47.0 in October. Independents' life ratings also declined last month, but to a lesser degree. Democrats became slightly more upbeat -- their Life Evaluation Index score climbed to 56.9, from 53.7 in October.

Democrats' life ratings have been generally improving in 2012, while Republicans' have been mostly on the decline. The trajectory of independents' life ratings is more similar to the trend for Republicans than that of Democrats.

The gap between Democrats and Republicans on the Life Evaluation Index is now 16.6 points -- the largest it has ever been. This is also a drastic change from early 2008, when Republicans' life ratings frequently surpassed Democrats' by more than 10 points.

These data show a clear, although complex, relationship between political views and life ratings. In 2008, when a Republican -- George W. Bush -- was in the White House, Republicans' life ratings far surpassed those of Democrats. This began to change when President Barack Obama took office in January 2009. Interestingly -- and perhaps because of the compounding effects of the financial crisis -- Republicans' life ratings did not decline as significantly nor did Democrats' ratings increase as much in November 2008, when Obama won his first term in office, as they did this November.

PS. Not you louis-t, I just wanted to get this up at the top of the string.

2. Independents almost parallel Repubs

They are probably mostly conservative leaning afraid to call themselves Republican

8. I'm an independent

(Chose my name when this site was new and I was still a Dem). I've never voted Republican in my life, however I often vote Green rather than DINO (couldn't vote for Kerry) - and if you think that's a vote for the Repubs you know what? I don't care. I don't vote strategically, I vote for who I want to win. Like it or lump it.

4. Who cares how they feel? We're supposed to care that they aren't happy?

Fuck 'em. To Hell with them. If they're unhappy about something, it must be something good. If they're unhappy about what we're doing, we must be doing something correct, fitting, proper, and moral.

7. They used to think being white made them better than everyone else.

Take away that lie, and they begin to notice that they have no jobs, no house, no prospects.

9. The most telling thing I ever heard a Republican say was

"If I ain't no better than a N*****, who am I better than? That pretty much told me all I needed to know about the mindset.

10. Well I was on one of those call that the congressman calls you to discuss issues. I didn't

vote for this guy. But honestly you should hear the conversation on the phone and questions. There is no doubt in my mind the hate the black man in the white house and never seem to remember their prior presidents mistakes. These people live in a bubble. A couple of them said to the cheating wife abuser and family values congressman from TN was doing a good job and was glad he got reelected and blamed the media for what happened to him. Delusional all the way. I finally had to hang up I couldn't take the ass kissing any longer. You had rednecks on there telling them big business hires people and we all should be greatful. According to them we need to stop spending. You can't talk to these people they really are delusional, really.
