French government says Kristi Noem lied about cancelling meeting with Macron

The French government has joined the chorus of detractors taking aim at South Dakota governor Kristi Noem’s political autobiography No Going Back, which many now see as having eliminated her chances of being Donald Trump’s vice-presidential selection.
Days after Noem removed a passage claiming she had met with North Korean dictator Kim Jong-un, officials at the Élysée Palace in Paris are questioning a passage that describes a cancelled meeting with French president Emmanuel Macron.
According to NBC News, Noem claims in her book that she cancelled a planned meeting between her and Macron in November after she accused him of making “pro-Hamas” comments.
“While in Paris, I was slated to meet with French president Emmanuel Macron,” Noem wrote. “However, the day before we were to meet, he made what I considered a very pro-Hamas and anti-Israel comment to the press. So I decided to cancel.” Yet a French official told the outlet there is no record of a scheduled meeting with Noem – nor had they invited her.

I'm shocked I tell ya, just shocked.
Her book, just released is now 37% off. 
It also has a 2 star rating. 
One star is the lowest possible rating on Amazon, so that gives her one star by default. For the rest, if you look at the breakdown on the reviews, it's as follows:
5⭐ - 22%
4⭐ - 3%
3⭐ - 2%
2⭐ - 0%
1⭐ - 73%
The overall rating is the average of all the ratings. 73% (almost 3/4) of those who rated this book gave it the lowest rating of 1⭐,
but 25% (presumably her supporters from her VERY red state) gave it at least 4.
All of that averages out to an overall rating of 2 ⭐, but that is honestly pitifully low. On Amazon, 1⭐ is the equivalent of a grade of F, which means 2⭐ = D at best!
I can't recall if I've ever seen anything on Amazom with a 1⭐ rating. It would be unlikely, because it would mean absolutely nobody gave it more than 1⭐.
They all seem to be bat guano crazy. The sanest one seems to be Sarah Huckabee, but even then, it's a pretty low bar

It's probably not the only reason, but I'd bet anything gaining his approval was a big part of it.
He obviously prefers women to have a certain level and type of attractiveness. Some of his nastiest insults have been aimed at women He considers unattractive. I think the main value of a woman for him is to be as decorative as possible.
He also likes them young, and Noem is 52 years old, which is pretty ancient by his standards. She probably felt that making herself look as young and as close to his idea of female beauty as possible would give her the best chance of winning the "veepstakes."
And who knows, it might have worked, if she hadn't ruined it all with that terrible book. No matter what he might think of her personally, there's no way he'll pick her now, because she's too controversial. Too bad, so sad!
