Obama builds 6 point lead over Romney in Michigan.

President Barack Obama is holding a 6 percentage point lead over Republican rival Mitt Romney less than a week before Tuesday’s election, a Detroit Free Press/WXYZ-TV (Channel 7) poll shows.

The results show Obama with a larger lead than recent polls and gaining momentum even as a Detroit News/WDIV-TV (Channel 4) poll released Wednesday showed a tighter race.
