Thus he has been detained for a bit over two years (about 27 months) -- but the Quantico detention, that Manning's supporters complained about, lasted only a third of that time
There has been some disagreement, whether the Quantico detention could be accurately described as "solitary confinement," especially since Manning was not held under the most stringent possible regime at Quantico, but he is held in general population at Leavenworth
