Canada's highest court upholds ruling that Donald Trump did mislead investors
Source: Independent (U.K.)
A lawsuit alleging that Donald Trump and a real estate development firm misled investors, has been upheld by Canada's highest court.
Sarbjit Singh and Se Na Lee alleged they were sold units in Toronto's, Trump International Hotel, under false pretences. The pair claimed they were misled to believe their investments would see returns ranging from 7.7 per cent to 20.9 per cent. Instead, they said they lost a combined C$1.2m (£732,810).
The Ontario Court of Appeal last year, sided with them in their case against Mr Trump, Talon International Development and former executives of that firm.

(6,034 posts)I think all that will happen is that the organization will have to pay the fine.
But I am pretty sure the Untied States would have to wave his immunity. which is not going to happen.

(5,801 posts)A plethora of well-sourced, verified information documenting beyond a shadow of a doubt that dump was a con man and compulsive liar was READILY available before the election (even though the corporate media put the shine on this stooge). You were either too lazy to do your job as a citizen and adequately inform yourself, or you were a gullible mark who bought in to the con.
Now you are getting screwed by the con being a con. Unfortunately, the rest of us will suffer.
