Trump: I'll have 'lots of options' to go after Clinton when I win

Source: Politico

He has since ramped up his rhetoric, threatening during the second presidential debate to jail the former secretary of state. Trump has said Clinton belongs in jail and vowed to, if elected, ask his attorney general to appoint a special prosecutor to look into Clinton’s email controversy. The real estate mogul has also said he will have the FBI’s now-closed investigation into Clinton’s server investigated.

While his campaign manager tried to walk back his threat to jail Clinton as “a quip,” Trump has doubled down on his pledge.

And, perhaps unfamiliar with how the Supreme Court works, Trump said during the Republican primary he would “probably appoint people that would look very seriously at her email disaster because it’s criminal activity.”

“And I would appoint people that would look very seriously at that to start off with,” he told ABC’s “Good Morning America” in late March, adding that Clinton is getting away with “murder.”

You have humiliated yourself, you have humiliated your wife and you have humiliated your children. Your Brand name is garbage - the only people who would buy anything with 'Trump' on the label are people too poor to afford it. You think something living near the poverty level can afford a $500/night hotel room or a pair of $250 Ivanka Trump shoes? Because the rest of us who could afford it don't want to spend any more money on anything branded Trump unless it's a GoFundMe site to raise funds to buy one-way plane tickets for the entire Trump family to leave the USA.

“probably appoint people that would look very seriously at her email disaster because it’s criminal activity.”

“And I would appoint people that would look very seriously at that to start off with,”

Does he really imagine that the President sets the agenda of the Supreme Court? And it sounds like he thinks he'll get to appoint multiple justices immediately... ...................................

if you stitch together news stories .... Roger Stone launching
exit polling in major cities to try to prove rigged voting ... Trump
needs Pennsylvania more than any state ... isn't his sister a judge
in Philadelphia ... could there be legal maneuvering to try to get
a judge declare the state's elections invalid? Would appeals go to the
under staffed US Supreme Court ... which can't overrule lower courts
because it's tied?

Trump litigates everything. Lawyers are more important than accountants
to him. See where I'm headed with this line of reasoning?

These isolated news stories all too suspicious to a paranoid character like me ....

But we are talking about a man whose emotional development ceased at about age 8 (apologies to all 8 year olds), this is hardly out of the question.

Trump's sister is a 3rd Circuit (federal) senior status judge, she won't be meddling in state affairs like that (I don't think she would even if she could).

Also, I know people here have a dim view of Alito/Roberts/Thomas but all three of them are still excellent legal minds, decent people, and (mostly) fair jurists. Their different constitutional views don't extend to the point of being willing to destroy American democracy.

Bush v. Gore was decided on an injunction, showing how actually
counting the votes could cause harm to one of the parties.

None of these fair minded jurists reasoned, "Let's count the votes."

1) Alito and Roberts weren't on the court at that time;

2) That is an awfully simplistic reading of the case. Just to point out one specific area, seven justices (including J. Breyer) found an equal protection issue.
