The bailiffs didn't sell the gun to the person who then wielded it.

The bailiffs are trained law enforcement officers. They are provided firearms by the state to enforce the rule of law within the courtroom. In this instance, some asshole managed to get to a gun PROVIDED BY THE STATE TO A TRAINED USER LEGALLY EMPOWERED TO CARRY, and they killed a bunch of people.

If you can't see the difference between this case and a mass shooting on the street, there is no point in engaging you.
