Karl Rove’s American Crossroads Super PAC released a statement mockingly “endorsing” DNC Chair Debbie Wasserman Schultz’s reelection bid.

The statement said that Wasserman Schultz has helped the Republicans gain majorities in Congress and, more recently, contributed to tensions within her own party.

“Congresswoman and DNC Chairwoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz has played a critical role over the past several years in the massive Republican gains we have achieved at the state level, in the U.S. House of Representatives, and in the U.S. Senate,” Crossroads President and CEO Steven Law said in a statement.

“Wasserman Schultz’s leadership has also been a catalyst for the emerging civil war in the Democratic Party this year, ensuring that their nominating process will drag on far longer than that of Republicans.”

2. She did call republicans her friends when she endorsed them.

At the time she was co-chair of the Red To Blue program that was supposed to support Democratic challengers to Republican incumbents. But instead she refused to help the Democrats in an effort to protect Republican seats. This caused the Third Way to see her as def leadership potential.
