OLORADO SPRINGS — El Paso County prosecutors on Wednesday announced 179 charges against the man accused of killing three people and injuring 12 others at a Planned Parenthood clinic.

Robert Lewis Dear Jr., 57, appeared in El Paso County District Court. He was arrested Nov. 27 after a standoff that lasted more than five hours at the clinic in Colorado Springs.

The lone suspect has since been held without bond in the El Paso County jail on suspicion of first-degree murder.

Dear appeared with public defender Dan King. King was one of the attorneys who represented Aurora theater shooter James Holmes.

During the hearing, Dear declared that he is guilty.

"I am guilty, there's no trial. I am a warrior for the babies," he told the court
