Drone strike in Pakistan kills up to nine

Source: AP

An American drone has fired a volley of missiles into a house close to the Afghan border, killing up to nine suspected militants, according to Pakistani officials.

Up to eight missiles were fired at a house in the Dra Nishtar area of North Waziristan early on Saturday, Pakistani intelligence officials said on condition of anonymity.

North Waziristan is considered a training ground for Islamist militants from many parts of the world. American regards it as a command and control centre for insurgents fighting US troops in neighbouring Afghanistan. The identities and affiliations of those killed on Saturday were not immediately known.

The strike is the second American drone operation in Pakistan in a week and comes as the US tries to rebuild its relationship with the government in Islamabad, which in November blocked the passage of US and Nato war supplies to neighbouring Afghanistan. Tensions reached new heights when Nato aircraft bombed and killed Pakistani soldiers at a border post.

Mr. Obama has signed us up for 10 more years of war in Afghanistan. His use of drones is going to start WWIII.

Actually, China doesn't even have to shoot at us... all they have to do is stop buying our Treasury Bonds and we are screwed.

and China won't do a thing.

The drone strikes are crippling Al Q'aida and Taliban -- the very fact Pakistan complains means that their 30 year old terror apparatus is being destroyed and they are being effectively defanged.

Let them complain --- they won't be able to destabilize Afghanistan easily as the drone strikes continue, which means our troops can come home.

If west coast ports stopped offloading "Wal-Mart" merchandise,
the Chinese will be swamped in their own un shipped factory orders.
Who will they sell to on credit the way they sell to the US ?

In 65 years ago. The same "America" my ancestors came to from Ireland in the early 1800's. And FURTHERMORE I STILL LIVE IN AMERICA!!!
So where do you live and why do you care where I live.

If you think I should approve America bombing potentially innocent folks that's your problem. Chill out!

Pakistani intelligence stated that up to eight missiles were fired. 1? 2? 7? or 8?

Killing up to nine suspected militants? 1? 2? or 9?

Plus they downplay this fact; The victims were suspected militants. I trust my President to know who to kill; I doubt he would just go willy-nilly on people.
