APNewsBreak: GOP leaders putting together trade rescue plan

Source: AP

By DAVID ESPO and CHARLES BABINGTON

WASHINGTON (AP) — After talks with President Barack Obama, top Republican leaders in Congress put together a quick rescue plan Tuesday for highly controversial, White House-backed trade legislation that Democrats derailed in the House last week.

Officials said House Speaker John Boehner, R-Ohio, and Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, R-Ky., were likely to split the stalled bill into two parts in hopes of sending them to the president separately, with Republicans providing most of the needed votes for one part, and Democrats for the other.

The first would consist of stand-alone legislation allowing Congress to approve or reject any future trade deal, but not change it.

The second measure would renew an expiring program of assistance to workers who lose their jobs, as well as extend uncontroversial trade rules for Caribbean Basin countries, Haiti and elsewhere that cleared the House last week.

I feel sorry for the generations behind us - AND a bit guilty for not having done more to keep the nation from it's death swirl in the toilet bowl.

ticket lets circumvent the process (put it on some obscure bill or "deal" or trade with the Caribbean nations) ------- from the original bill that they did not pass last Friday (6-11-2015)----(302-129)---------because of the simple fact, which is, $700 million being taken out of Medicare for the next 6 years which would cost the program $4.2 TRILLON dollars and cripple the program to pay for human beings that will be having there JOBS outsourced, so all the folks on Medicare can subsidized those that have lost a job--------------way to go Ryan, Boehner,
McConnell-------------you right wing hacks and DINO's that support this scheme.

Nope ------------ they weren't happy with that little scheme they decide to:

"Officials said House Speaker John Boehner, R-Ohio, and Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, R-Ky., were likely to split the stalled bill into two parts in hopes of sending them to the president separately, with Republicans providing most of the needed votes for one part, and Democrats for the other.

The first would consist of stand-alone legislation allowing Congress to approve or reject any future trade deal, but not change it."

The second measure would renew an expiring program of assistance to workers who lose their jobs, as well as extend uncontroversial trade rules for Caribbean Basin countries, Haiti and elsewhere that cleared the House last week."

Lets make a "deal behind close doors" put it on as a rider to another "deal" -------and they still will not let the public have any say in the process-----------because 68% of the "now" working population are saying NO to this deal.

I guess the "DRUNK" hasn't figured out while in a stupor that his state (Ohio) has lost and is losing his manufacturing base called STEEL.

Anyone that votes for this c****y m*****y scheme needs to have a primary, or have human beings sleeping in there offices, asking for food and work and a place to live.

These house staff lobbyists of the corporations are just outright greed.
