Rebekah Brooks about to be rehired by Rupert Murdoch for US operation

Source: Guardian

Rebekah Brooks is close to being rehired by Rupert Murdoch in a permanent position heading up his search for new online investments.

There were unconfirmed reports on Sunday that she would be heading Storyful, a social media news agency started by the former RTE current affairs present Mark Little.

It was acquired by News Corporation in 2013 for $25m. The Financial Times reported that Brooks would spend some time in Dublin where the operation is based. News Corp declined to comment.

Brooks, who was cleared of being involved in a phone-hacking plot last summer, has reportedly taken an apartment in New York but will largely continue to be based in the UK.

I'd rather use a carrier pigeon than Fox social media. Look up how Murdoch's people hacked into the cell phone of a teenage kidnapping victim, interfering with the investigation and police efforts to find the girl. They are ruthless.

representation of what Murdock did in the UK and the reasons that over 100 year old tabloid had to fold was done by Jon Stewart and John Oliver on The Daily Show. Brooks should be in prison (along with Murdock) for what they did.

Should the US immigration authorities second-guess the court's verdict?

She was LUCKY not to end up in prison (Andy Coulson, her co-defendant and one-time lover, was not so lucky) and I would have thought that she was in any case too discredited for a serious job in journalism. But nothing's too slimy for King Rupert. He should be in prison too!
