So which Gooper is going to win here?

I'm betting on Romney.

The national talking heads are discounting Romney's chances here, because of the Mormon thing.

But I say don't discount the business wing of the Goop.

The rubes are only pawns for the big-money guys.

Santorum and Newt will split the idiot vote, Romney will sew up the greed vote, and the guy in the magic undies will win.

But I could be wrong, and it'll probably be pretty close.

Any guesses?

Didn't you see him on Ash Wednesday with a charcoal stain on his head?

He was originally a Lutheran. Then he converted to Southern Baptist. Then he converted to Catholic.

He's a man of many convictions. But his convictions aren't very firm.

Which of the candidates owns the most of the Repuklican flunkies counting the votes will win.

That means RMoney will almost certainly win everywhere, especially in Alabama and Mississippi.

Interview with a MS political scientist(?) from the Stennis School of Government (who sounded a LOT like Haley Barber)
'Although most southern fundamentalists regard Mormonism as a cult, when it comes down to it...between Romney and Santorum, a Catholic, MS voters will rationalize "Well, it IS The Church of JESUS CHRIST of Latter Day Saints."

Possibly a valid point.

It's also depressing to me that American politics, especially in the South, is filtered through so many layers of nonsense.

All of our favorite democrats are not being primaried, so we figured we'd vote for icky Ricky. Hopefully that will force Mittens to keep spending $$$, maybe to the point he has to take out a 2d mortgage on one of his homes, like the way he brags that he forced Ted Kennedy to do during their senate race.

I'm thinking about showing up to my precinct and after getting the ballot, donning rubber gloves and wiping my hands with sanitizer afterwards and make a big show of it.

But I'm not really that surprised that Santorum won. I am pretty surprised that Roy Moore won the nomination for Chief Justice. I thought even the Alabama GOP had had enough of that guy. Maybe we can get Sue Bell Cobb to come out of retirement to run as an independent.
