Michele Bachmann told ABC News she expects to defy her dismal poll numbers with a miraculous result in the Iowa caucuses.
Were going to see an astounding result on Tuesday night miraculous, Bachmann told ABC News in an interview at her Iowa campaign headquarters surrounded by young supporters from her alma mater Oral Roberts University.
Were believing in a miracle because we know, I know, the one who gives miracles, Bachmann said.

LOL
Okay, we all know that regarding the election of a U.S. President the U.S. Constitution says something like: "...there shall be no religious test ..."
which is fine, BUT ...
I am beginning to believe that ALL candidates should be required to under go at least one psychiatric examination and also regular drug screening tests throughout the campaign season!

(8,224 posts)Who does she think the Divine will intervene for? In that most of them feel the "calling", one could conclude that "Divine intervention" was involved regardless of who wins...
I don't actually think anything that I might term "Divine" is involved here...

(36,974 posts)it would seem that they would have been more open to accepting Obama's win in 2008 since it would have come from 'The Divine One'
But we know that never happened and will not in 2012 either.
p.s. I am of the belief that 'The Divine One' does NOT intervene in elections, sports, etc.
Why then does Bachmann make the types of statements that she does, about President Obama? Clear hypocrisy right there. Some religious right strike me as total egoists - God is all about them and doesn't really count anyone else.

(36,974 posts)I thought for sure the interview she did with Chris Matthews back in 2008 (the one where she called for a media expose` of anti-american folks in Congress) would have been the end of her career as a politician.

I'd think millions starving and dying in wars would be of greater interest. Hell, I'd think about ANYTHING would be of greater interest to a being purported to have created the entire universe.

(24,461 posts)How DARE people like Michele Bachmann pass themselves off as serious. The voting public really IS this fucking stupid that an imbecile like this is as far in life as she is. I'm convinced. In terms of sheer brain surgery, this is like "voting for Bewsh twice" on amphetamines.
