Genius

Romney has been running on his business experience.

The Obama campaign now has him running away from his business experience as fast as he can.

Looks like Karl Rove isn't the only one adept at the art of turning a strength into a weakness.

Brilliant stuff.

He's one of those nincompoops who think running a government is just the same as running a business. But now his business-running is starting to look a bit dodgy, so what's he got left besides a couple of years managing the Olympics? Being governor of Massachussets, during which he implemented the prototype of the Affordable Care Act (and bragged about it all day - until Obama started pushing the ACA), and during which MA was #47 in job creation.

So, Mittens, what have you got? A business you don't want to talk about. And a health care plan you now hate. And a really shitty jobs record. That leaves being an Exalted High Muckitymuck in the Mormon Church, which you also don't like to talk about, and the Olympics.

The Olympics. That's it.

Poor Mittens.

2002 Olympic Torch Bearer Uniforms Made In Burma Sweatshops

In the last few days, more than a thousand activists have e-mailed complaints to the IOC.

The IOC, however, has insisted that it bears no responsibility for the order and that all arrangements for the torch relay to Salt Lake City had been made by the local organizing committee, the SLOC.

Most of them received email replies signed in the name of the SLOC's Media relations Committee, which indicated that it thought Burma and Myanmar were two different countries.

Obama's team has shown itself to be pretty damned adept in doing this sort of thing. The more I see this campaign, the more I realize that Rmoney has been having real trouble getting his message out.

I can't wait to see what happens after the conventions. If the Obama team keeps directing the dialog, Rmoney may be in big trouble.

Rmoney at NAACP was embarrassing. I agree he went there to play to his base, but he could have done that without going to Houston. He's screwed either way, but why the hell did he double down with the "free stuff" comment?

Are they really that clueless?

But as I posted elsewhere yesterday, I expect Karl Rove and company haven't even begun to dig into their bag of dirty tricks.

I expect the aim will not be to try and salvage Romney's character but to attack the President as an even more heinous monster than they already have.

Remember the whisper campaign against John McCain in 2000 Republican presidential primary?

that Ted Kennedy's people did back in the nineties? Simply taking that and following the clues would doubtless lead to lots of interesting things. You can bet your bottom dollar Ted's people drilled down to bedrock doing their opposition research.

I also suspect that there may well be some old McCain people who are none too fond of Mittwit to this day and wouldn't mind monkeywrenching him. Let's face it, the Romneybot 2.0 isn't someone feel real warm and fuzzy about.

I think Obama has Clinton beat. So smart. So tough. So competitive. So lucky.
How did we get so fortunate to find Obama?
This attack is brilliant and well played. What is stunning is that many powerful folks in the Democratic party said it wouldn't work and was the wrong path.
Clearly Obama once again knew where he was going ten moves ago. I no longer question any move this smiling genius makes. I have come to understand that he always has a plan.
I would bet that Obama would agree he has gone through life consistently being underestimated and consistently used it to his advantage. Dumb like a fox.
I don't care which side you are on if you like politics for its sport then you have to love Obama's skill.
Bring on the debates.
