Boston Globe To Team Romney: Sorry, No Dice

Boston Globe To Team Romney: Sorry, No Dice

The Boston Globe will not be issuing a correction to its report on Mitt Romney’s departure from Bain Capital, according to Politico. The Romney campaign formally demanded a retraction earlier today, maintaining Romney was CEO in name only, delegating all day-to-day operations to 26 managing directors at the firm from February 1999 on.

“We received your request late this afternoon for a correction regarding this morning’s Globe story,” wrote Globe editor Martin Baron to Romney communication director Gail Gitcho. “Having carefully reviewed that request, we see no basis for publishing a correction. The Globe story was entirely accurate.”

when they changed my package. Watched all 3 episodes of that Sunday night. I hope they lose all of that filler relationship drama between the 20somethings and the 50somethings - because they are onto something with this newsroom coverage. The BP and Koch Bros story lines were awesome.

Like Cheney wasn't still in cahoots with Haliburton, the whole time he was in office. Freaking cost plus, no bid contracts. Enriching himself and his cronies by war profiteering.

Wonder what fresh ENRON and bank frauds that creature would bring to the economy. You can bet the CIA and FBI will be freshly stocked, with young Mormons, as missionaries from returned missions are hired, anyway. Just like Bush left many offices stocked with Bob Jones University, grads. The government will be infused with grateful LSD faithful, as they are squeaky clean.

Mr.Mittens jumped out of the crazy clown car. You saw the competition.

I shudder to think...

You know: Even with the bigots who totally hate Obama, I doubt they believe he'd sell out like that for a buck. I think they know he wouldn't,and that's just one reason they hate him. He's got more spine than he's supposed to, for an, ahem, well, episcopalian.... Well, that's how my black friend refers to people such as himself....

I mean, come on! The poor guy can't get a break!

He can't dance, he can't romance, he can't talk, he can't sing. He doesn't know how to travel with housepets.

No one likes the poor guy. He's the wrong religion, and he has no spine: The man has no ideas of his own, he wrote the healthcare that he's saying he hates. He's pro-choice and runs the most democratic state in the nation, and that's ahead of new york!

Capitalism was all he had! Now, that's that's going to drown him!

He's only been running for this job his whole life. I don't really know why-He's got more money than god. Why does he want it so bad?

Poor Mit. Just can't be happy, I guess....

Has a prophecy that America will be hanging by a thread, and will be rescued by a member of The Later Day Saints.

He may seriously feel this is his destiny. He's a Bishop and has been a Stake President. That alone should endow him with mad organizational skills. Mormons are their own special sect. They take care of their own.

Deciding which politicians to contribute to, dealing with personnel conflicts, etc.

I worked for a CEO at huge US firm. We had him scheduled to the minute from 8am to 8pm every work day. We schedule car service to the private jet and scheduled either someone to ride with him for an in-car meeting or the phone calls he would do while in that car. He would do 40 to 50 calls or meetings per day. Almost nothing moves forward without his say so. The CEO position is a bottleneck in most firms. They know or should know every important issue facing the company and they should be actively dealing with all of them.

Chairman of the Board on the other hand is much more hands off type position.
