Then when the Dems get the Senate and Presidency back in 2020 we can nominate some solid liberals and let the republicans pound sand.

...it's not inconceivable that multiple judges could need to be appointed between now and 2020, and that none may then need to be appointed for a while thereafter.

At all. So it is dead as far as the re-ubs are concerned.

Folks need to stop hoping that the republicans will act in a kind and rational way. That isn't how this bunch works.

I just don't see as much likely benefit to it as you do, unfortunately. But it's still probably the better of two bad choices. I understand the argument that it could lead to our getting someone even worse, but really, I'm not sure how much worse there really is. And perhaps there is some benefit to not allowing the Republicans to use Dems as cover even in the most minimal way. If they can confirm justices with nothing but republican votes, then at least they really own them, and can't try to sell any "shortcomings" (even to their own base) as needed to get any Dem votes.

Yay, Mark Warner, Di-Fi!

Was getting pooped out from calling all these senators who were being questionable. Told those I called I'm not a constituent, but please log my comments and concern.
Hay, I don't care if it's their policy or not!!

My thinking is currently: the future what-ifs be dammmed! Push back on the repuglycants any way, shape, form.

All of them GO BLOW and/or SUCK A BIGGG LEMON!

(Needing to have another large cup o' tea after that.)

I just want Dems to stop the filibuster for any and all bills and appointments, and run all budget items through reconciliation. Pisses me off how Repugs play full contact football but Dems play flag football. We need to play for keeps as well and stop trying BS bi-partisanship since it doesn't exist except in Dem fantasies and Repug talking points, not Repug behavior at all.
