they consider passing something, anything, more important than the consequences of the bill.
Party over Country every time.

Plus, they are apparently placating the "Freedom Caucus" by promising an amendment vote for their concerns when it gets to the Senate.

Either way, they own it, so I should be mildly happy, but it would be a lot better to not see Cheetolini doing a victory lap as I suspect we will later today. Can't believe we're playing defense to this clown. When I think about how good Hillary would have been on this issue it makes me want to shed this mortal coil and move on from this horrible world filled with benighted RW fools.

...they are trying to save the House for the Republicans by keeping their promise to repeal Obamacare. It doesn't really matter what the Senate does. If they break their promise, they will surely lose the House. If they don't break their promise, they "might" lose the House?

Repubs will cave under pressure from leadership -- it will be pretty close, but if they can't win, they'll delay the vote rather than lose.

is just that. A show.

Republicans do not have consistent integrity, except for their own party.

I find it amusing that the ultra-conservatives reject the plan because it doesn't fuck enough Americans.

outweigh everything else. Most people won't even know it failed, not because of how bad and cruel it was, but because the far right wanted it to be even more cruel. A failure to pass would taint any future efforts so they just have to pass it and hand it off to the Senate. Any of them with any sense have to know it is going to change in the Senate anyway.

They have to... And, it will be much ballyhooed on MSM outlets as a triumph for both Trump and a GoP majority legislature. Anything to smear the legacy of President Obama and deflect from their sell-out to a hostile foreign power to achieve their marginal "majority". They and the complicit media need this, so it will happen.

Sadly.

The holdouts know their party has too much riding on it and are bartering for goodies in the bill
