over non-existent "liberal threats". There's a somewhat large crowd of tea party supporters organizing to rally near one of the community centers here. It'll be a laugh. A couple of them are actually shooting their guns into the air. Others are waving pickets in the air with "get a job, lazy liberals" and so on. Why do they always cry and scream over the smallest changes? Ugh >_>

I think I will. In response to the second poster, I think Conservatism was once a noble ideology, but at present, is basically what you described it as.

Let them find out that their Medicare will be "adjusted for the 21st century", their grandkids won't be getting discounted school lunches, and their kids have to move back home when the unemployment checks run out.
Wait to see how they act when they have to pay a separate bill for internet content and increased local school taxes. We'll see what Life Alert does for them when their town closes half the police stations and the nearest EMS squad is 40 minutes away.
By the time the Tea Party enacts all their bucket list spending cuts, the government will ironically have to restrict private ownership of guns just for the sake of their own job security.
