SE Cupp blows it on her MSNBC program...

She jumped the shark even before the boat motor got started.

Given a brand new show with a relatively inexperienced and young cast, there are bound to be clumsy moments. But S.E. Cupp's revelation today that the well-researched months long investigation of Fast and Furious by Fortune Magazine had been debunked, was something special.

Touré: Who did the debunking?

S.E. Cupp: Oh, you can read about it at Townhall.

Touré: Ooooooooh.

I love how he just about fell out of his chair on that. And you can tell that as she's saying it, depending on a right wing opinion blog for her argument, she knows she's just climbed way out on a limb. Way out.

I wish I still had cable, I always did enjoy a good train wreck when a conservative without any intelligence was the train being wrecked.
Sometimes they do the weird stutter thing trying to think of an answer, that always makes me laugh.

and bourbon which may be true who knows. Surprisingly I dislike that Kornecki? guy almost as much as I dislike her. Today her big topic was that people should go to junior college if they don't have money and not everyone needs to go to college. She is the type of person who would step over a sick starving person and look back and say you didn't work hard enough. I like Crystal, she looks po'ed most of the time, I would too. Toure is fine I am neutral about him. I won't be watching the show again.

Its one thing to throw them out there in a situation where they "fit", its another thing to simply parrot them in a non-responsive fashion.

maybe it was naive of me to think this but.....I was hoping she could burst free from the far right loonies running the show for the republicans. I was thinking maybe( just maybe) she would call out her party on some of the obvious bullshit they spew almost every single day and give an intelligent counter point if she disagreed.

My dad was a republican until he died 20 years ago but he always had RATIONAL, thoughtful debates with the liberal side of my family.
I don't know if those kind of republicans even exist anymore. If they have I haven't talked to one in a long time.

She is just spewing the same BS (just a little nicer tone.) I thought their little show had some promise but she's blowing it.

I heard her reference to a so-called debunking of the Fortune magazine article on yesterday's show. She could offer not a single detail or fact but only a vague mention of the blog. She's a very weak debater and doesn't display even an ounce of intellectual curiosity, preferring to live on talking points and slogans.

and decided that it was not only air-headed, but wasn't even well produced. I'll never watch it again. I have two favorites on MSNBC, Martin Bashir and Rachel Maddow. Some of the others are ok, but The Cycle is just awful. Any bets on how long it will take them to make some major changes and then finally dump it?

And they did a pretty crappy job of it.

I stumbled across it looking for Martin Bashir one day and it was beyond painful to watch. Reminded me of that morning show on Fox with those three ignorami.

I would not want to have that CF on my resume.
