Neenah woman gets prison for stealing identities, filing false tax returns

GREEN BAY, Wis. (WBAY) - A Neenah woman has been sentenced to four years in prison for stealing identities and filing false tax returns.
Billie Jo Bottine, 39, was sentenced Tuesday in the federal courthouse in Green Bay.
Prosecutors say Bottine filed more than 70 false federal income tax returns in the names of 32 people between 2009 and 2014.
She used the names, birth dates, and social security numbers of adults and children.
Bottine created fake W2 forms and fake Schedule C forms to get fraudulent tax returns totaling $340,000.
In addition to four years in prison, Bottine was ordered to serve three years on supervised release and pay $186,141 in restitution to the IRS.
