IMHO Ann Curry is too good for NBCnooz or whatever.

She should be a traveling reporter like Richard Engel. She is great covering serious subjects and such. These 2 are a dying breed.

Apparently she wasn't up to snuff according to Matt Lauer and others. 'Today' was going slowly down before Curry took over. The morning shows have turned into a lot of what the PTB consider entertainment.

That's what I heard on the 10 a.m. hour of "Today" yesterday, while waiting for the health care decision.

I kind of figured that Matt Lauer and his massive ego had something to do with Curry's departure. I stopped watching Today mainly because of him. The last straw was the uncalled-for grilling he gave to Trayvon Martin's aunt and uncle a few weeks after the shooting.

Yes, these shows are entertainment because they are targeted toward a busy morning audience that doesn't have the time to sit and digest hefty discussions, like you find on Morning Joe.

Matt Lauer. I am so glad he never went into working for the government.
