The defection of one more Republican could spell defeat for Betsy Devos. NPR just said that.

I'm going to contact both my Republican* Senators encouraging them to vote against her.

Why she is a poor candidate for Secretary of Education:

--She's an advocate of charter schools and voucher programs.

--She's never worked in the public school system (correct me if I'm wrong).

Can yall come up with some other reasons?


*Of course, in this red-as-a-baboon's-arse state, both Senators are Republicans. )

Showing her clear lack of knowledge on the subject. I dont think the charter school argument will sway the senators. Thats what the gop has said they wanted to do all these years.

Maybe not even a 3rd grader.

Isn't she in the running only because of donations she's made? That is hardly qualifying.
