Plane dumb swastika boost

A dim-witted religious group flew an airplane banner defending the vile Nazi swastika, offending thousands of people trying to enjoy a summer day in Manhattan and on the Jersey shore.

The ad for ProSwastika.org was paid for by the International Raelian Movement to honor World Swastika Rehabilitation Day.

“We have rehabilitation day to explain the true meaning of the symbol,” said Las Vegas-based organizer Thomas Kaenzig. “By keeping it taboo, we give credit to the horrific Nazi ideology.”

According to Raelism, a religion that believes in UFOs, the swastika has long been a symbol of peace.

is an ancient symbol of luck, defiled by the Nazis. I don't see a problem trying to 'rehabilitate' it, but the odds of that are miniscule.

I don't think credit is the appropriate word.
