Break out the links, please.

Some here are claiming that Presidents have been rudely interrupted before. I recall the media getting quite forceful in the past, but that was during Q & A sessions at press conferences. That is not the same as what has happened with President Obama.

Show us when and where any President of the United States giving a State of the Union speech or making a formal statement at the White House announcing a Presidential action were rudely interrupted as President Obama has been.

Please do that because I don't recall this type of thing ever happening before in those specific circumstances.

I remember "You Lie Wilson".

And Bush had a shoe thrown at him but he was abroad when it happened . . .

The founding of the US required contentious arguments - but we only have hearsay from the men involved. And much of that verbal vitriol happened before the Republic was lead by Washington. IE the Presidents before the way the office looks/acts beginning with G W.

A Republican candidate interrupted Reagan at a meeting of Republican candidates. Not the same at all. Not addressing the nation.

ABC came up with four instances. The two with President Obama, the Bush shoe throwing, and the Reagan thing.

Here is the Reagan thing: http://news.google.com/newspapers?id=ZRQvAAAAIBAJ&sjid=LqUFAAAAIBAJ&pg=1362,2631748&dq=ronald+reagan+shut+up&hl=en

So it would seem that respect for the President and the office of the Presidency during an address to the nation has reached a new low through these ill-mannered right wingers.

I am sure they are proud.

the President when he is addressing the nation. That is what happened in the State of the Union when a Republican yelled "You Lie" at the President. That is what happened when President Obama spoke of a new immigration policy yesterday. A reporter interrupted him with comments and questions during his statement.

I have stated that several times.

That being the standard, all of your links fail to meet that standard:

#1 About Walker, not a President.

#2 About booing, which has happened before Bush. It happened to Clinton, but not the same as yelling at the President.

#3 About McCain, not a President.

#4 About Tony Blair, not even an American.

#5 and #6 About what happened to President Obama yesterday.

#7 About Romney, not a President.

Yes, heckling takes place.

Rep. Wilson (A) who infamously broke decorum in 2010 by yelling “You lie!” during President Obama’s address on health care.

to President Obama.

The point is that it has happened twice to Obama in formal addresses to the nation, which are entirely different from a press conference or Q & A session.

No one here has provided an example of it ever happening to another other President during a formal address to the nation.
