Jill Stein is a deceitful megalomaniac.

Last edited Wed Jul 27, 2016, 12:06 AM - Edit history (1)

She has that much in common with Trump. No sane person could try to pretend that there isn't a meaningful difference between the parties this year. I have to ask why she attempts to claim that they are equivalent. The differences in the Dem and Green platforms are differences in degree. The differences between the Green and GOP platforms are differences in kind.

She is doing this for herself to satisfy some selfish impulse. It's hard to come up with anything else.

Garry Johnson is polling at almost 10%, more than likely all normally Republican voters.

Jill Stein is a non-issue and will have zero affect on the race, and much less than the Republican spoiler equivalent will. Let's start selling Hillary instead of already looking for people to blame.

If we can't beat someone as reprehensible as Trump by more than 1% than we ran a shitty campaign. So let's not run a shitty campaign and let's start focusing on stuff other than Jill Stein.

How bad is the Democratic brand if we are even within 5% of an unapologetic racist, xenophobic, misogynist, failure of a businessman with a bad tan and even worse hair?

My point is that we need to stop looking at Jill Stein and start figuring out a way to not have an election against this shitmonger be as close as it is to the point where Stein is even a factor.

If she's polling at 1% and we are within 1% of losing to someone like Trump then that says more about the current state of the Democratic party than it does Jill Stein.

those are primarily republicans, then Trump is way ahead. This can only mean one thing - there are a hell of a lot of Dems who are supporting Trump. And, these people have heard every single idiotic thing he has said so trying to scare them may not work.

He's appealing to the entire Republican base, and then to additional swaths of white racist and "disaffected" white males who never trusted McCain or Romney.

His appeal is more to the idiots who though Bush "spoke to their issues" or "said what he meant and meant what he said" or whatever other drivel.

Which means that we've got a 2000 situation on our hands. And just as in 2000, it should not be this close. The fact that it is close means we're not running a good campaign that's speaking to enough people in terms they can understand and want to hear.

Luckily we have plenty of time to start doing that. I'm just worried that the people in charge don't understand that yet. Hence we have people like Terry McCaullife out there shooting his mouth off.

and hopefully this number will decline. Most polls currently have Trump ahead - but lets just say they are even, for argument's sake. And, let's just say the number of Dems equal the number of Republicans.

And, that Johnson is siphoning off 10% of Trump's votes. which would put Trump up by 10 if Johnson wasn't in the picture.

That would then have to mean Dems supporting Trump.

It's blue collar, organized labor type dems. Trump is not their friend but he is speaking to issues of trade and jobs and such that the Democrats have played it too safe on (in my opinion) the past 20 years or so.

I've seen a tone of comments saying "Vote for Stein - if we hit 5%, we'll be eligible for federal matching funds!" They're not even running for the presidency (they know they won't win), they're running so they have some cash to play with. And not even that much money - at 5%, I think it would be something like 1/4 of what Sanders raised in a single month.

She has ensured--through her iron grip on the Green Party--that they go nowhere and do nothing for as long as she holds the reins.

She doesn't "campaign," she sits on her ass in her mansion in Lexington, and she does everything digitally. She knows nothing about the people of this country because she does not interact with them.

She's been in charge for years--no one dares challenge her, I guess. There's no room for upward mobility in that organization because she stunts the growth with her micromanagerial style.

The Greens might be able to make a mark in the years ahead, but they'll never grow as long as that horrid person is in charge.

She's famous for her negativity -- everyone and everything sucks....except HER, of course.

She wants to peel off the angry, low-information voters who are so blinded by revenge that they don't see the difference. Why? So she can get sufficient votes to be included in the debates.

She's like Code Pink--ostensibly on the same side of that left-right line, but completely unhelpful.

by those in the commonwealth who really know her well. And for those who think I'm being denigrating in a sexist way, that's from HER biographical overview--right after "mother."

The reason she has to put that in her resume is because that's her signature function in life, and to deny it is to deny reality. She's very much like a "Real Housewife" in a political fashion.

She doesn't "do" shit. She is a serial complainer and shit-stirrer. She's very good at telling people how much they suck and how she can do it better. She's got grand ideas, pipe dreams, that can't possibly happen because she doesn't bother to understand that shit costs money and she's never thought through that piece.

She sits on her snobby, entitled perch in one of the most exclusive neighborhoods in the Bay State and looks down her nose at everyone. Only SHE is the Way and the Light, doncha know. Everyone else is inferior, stupid, not wise like she!

She ran for a local slot in state government, and her own town told her than anything bigger than a tiny collaborative role in town government was out of her reach--she was rejected out of hand--as she has been for every state and national office for which she has competed.

Those who know her do not like her. There is a REASON that Bernie Sanders blew her off--without even bothering to respond to her stupid and divisive overtures.

And she is going out of her miserable, hate-filled way to try to Run a Nader on the Democratic Party this year.

Remember how the admins here were very pleased to tell us all "Fuck Ralph Nader?"

I think "Fuck Jill Stein" is just as worthy.

I wonder if Putin is funding HER campaign, too? LOL!!!!

She is not worthy of comment.

She is a crank, a flake.

Thing is, she's rich, and she's white and she lives in an exclusive enclave. If she were black or brown, and living in a rent controlled walk-up in a high crime zip code, people would call her a crank and wouldn't give her any time on TV.

Because she is pale of complexion, wealthy and from Lexington, she gets airtime. But her ideas and comments are stupid, and divisive.

"The Rent is Much Too High" guy, may he RIP, had a more practical platform than she has.
