first they came - martin niemoller

i post this without comment for discussion,,,

"First they came for the Socialists, and I did not speak out—
Because I was not a Socialist.

Then they came for the Trade Unionists, and I did not speak out—
Because I was not a Trade Unionist.

Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out—
Because I was not a Jew.

Then they came for me—and there was no one left to speak for me."

No one can ever really be safe in such a regime, but the most effective way to stay alive as long as possible isn't silence.

It's being a cheerleader for the regime, and you can never lay it on thick enough.
